Chloe used sticks, leaves, petals, soil, and rocks, integrated with acrylic, pencil, charcoal, and pastels. The preserved natural textures—black and white charcoal grey, mustard and lemon yellows, and sparkly teal—tell a story of transformation. Created in a moment of misery, scraping motions reveal both the pain and the beauty of the creative process. Chloe’s father calls this her “lucky painting”—an artwork born from hardship but destined to bring hope and fortune to those who experience it.
